As I have always stated, quick commerce will pivot towards e-commerce, with longer delivery times. My previous article on Afaqs even mentioned a delivery timeframe of 30-45 minutes.

PS- For the past two years, I have received nasty comments regarding this opinion, including one person tagging me in every random post about it and claiming that I don't understand the strategy.
So, here are some more predictions:
1. Quick commerce Valuations:
The valuations of quick commerce are over the top; they only make sense once it evolves beyond being quick and becomes more about commerce.
2. Traditional E-commerce:
At the same time, traditional e-commerce will become quicker.
3. Diverse Delivery Players:
I predict a scenario with different players offering varying delivery times.
4. Quick Commerce as a Service (QCAS):
This concept is challenging, but I am sure someone will pitch it!
5. Future Profits for Zepto and Blinkit:
In the coming years, Zepto and Blinkit are likely to find major earnings (i.e., beyond the typical 10–15-minute deliveries. Expect different warehouse types and varied payment structures for delivery folk depending on the duration.
6. Evolution of Zepto and Blinkit:
Zepto, Blinkit, and Insta will increasingly resemble Amazon and Flipkart, and this may extend to Flipkart and possibly Amazon as well.
7. Major Revenue Opportunities:
Private label products
Advertising (great localized ad tech can prove to be a significant unlock)
Subscription models to some extent.
8. Kirana Shops' Disruption:
As I have always stated, Kirana shops will be a primary source of disruption, and government intervention is likely.
What will come out of this? That's anyone's guess.
9. Zomato's Expansion:
Zomato will keep expanding to justify its valuation. Currently, its valuation appears to be a bubble; it is a great brand but seems overvalued. It must build and acquire different vertical businesses to justify this worth.
