One of the best ways to market your brand is to collaborate with another brand. And yesterday Mokobara & Indigo released a campaign which did that brilliantly
Now that's classic branding ☕
1. Brand connect- Mokobara is a premium, young luggage brand with Indigo Airlines.
2. Personalization - Two levels both sizes (check-in and carry ) + name etc on luggage.
3. Collaboration- Indigo blue to the ad
But the most important :
💡 An extra 2 kg on Indigo Airlines if you buy the luggage.
That's smart -
1. it's a clear incentive and not one of those silly promotions where the benefit is not really a benefit (I wish they had done 3-5, but that’s me being greedy :p)
2. It's not a one-time transaction but a constant reminder and allows regular word of mouth - because it's such a different offer you will tell others
3. Data: Mokobara and Indigo both can know much more about this specific customer’s flying habits. Currently, Mokobara has no idea who the customer is and they have multiple SKUs ie pieces of luggage on their website but without the travel behaviour of the customer, they can’t really suggest the most apt ones. This helps with that.
The most interesting thing for me was that it was not just a marketing collaboration but a product one too. In fact, Whole Truth is another brand which does that very well, first with Blue Tokai and then with Sleepy Owl.Combing product with marketing is the best way to market something
But coming back , this is a great start by Mokobara and Indigo.
This is the kind of marketing which everyone can learn from.
So what’s your take on this? Anything you think they could have done better?
