Sometimes innovation can be just slapping a customer! 💥 👋
💥 A Japanese restaurant, 'Shachihoka-ya', 🇯🇵 introduced the concept of slapping customers before their meals. It may sound bizarre, but it attracted many patrons and became a viral sensation.
💰 Customers paid for the privilege of being slapped on their faces, starting from 300 Japanese Yen (approximately Rs 170). Some even opted for specific staff members, for a higher price of 500 Yen (Rs 285).
✨ The restaurant's popularity soared, with both men and women, locals and tourists, enjoying the unconventional service. It became so successful that more waitresses had to be hired to meet the demand.
📢 #sethgodin #purplecow but this is something else. It challenged traditional norms and created a unique 'customer experience.' 😆 It got people talking, sharing videos on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), and attracted attention worldwide.
🔔 In the end, the restaurant decided to discontinue the slapping service BUT it seems people still regularly turn up requesting it.
